FODMAP Friendly is really emphasising the importance of hydration and what a great way to do this with a smoothie?
A super green smoothie full of great nutrients and an amazing prebiotic. Vitamin C hit from the pineapple and lime, Vitamin K from the spinach or kale and spirulina and potassium from the banana.
What is this amazing prebiotic you ask? happiGut™
happiGut™ is a whole plant prebiotic that supports the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut. happiGut™ is low in FODMAPS making it easy for those who suffer from IBS, GERD etc. It is an all-natural, single ingredient that is extracted from the sugarcane plant using no chemicals and using a low-temperature process to ensure the integrity of the plant and maintain the inherent nutrients.
Low FODMAP Super Greens Smoothie
300 grams (2 cups) of pineapple, skin removed
2 teaspoons of coconut oil
1 banana, firm, unripe, peeled
2-4 cups of kale or spinach
3-4 cups of almond milk
3 teaspoons (15 grams) of spirulina
1 lime squeezed
4 teaspoons of happiGut™ or for those in Australia Kfibre
1. Add all ingredients to a blender with some ice cubes.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Enjoy a super start to your day!
